This year, Bonei Olam is reaching out with a particular case, an opportunity to help one special girl.

The girl is a Yesomah, orphaned from her mother at a young age.

Like so many little girls, she once dreamed about her future.

A chuppah.
A loving husband.
Perfectly swaddled babies nestled in her arms.
And now, her dream is closer than ever.

A wonderful shidduch was redt, and the boy's family is genuinely excited. But one tremendous obstacle stands in the way.

She was born without a uterus.

For most couples, starting a family is the natural next step after marriage. For her, it requires a life-changing procedure costing over $250,000.

Her prospective chosson and his family are willing to walk this road with her. All they need is to know that the necessary support will be there when the time comes.

We have committed to help raise the funds she needs, giving her the chance to move forward toward two lifelong dreams: to build a home and someday, to hold a child of her own.

I’ve never met them. I don’t know their names, what shul they daven in, or what community they belong to. Yet the connection we share runs so deep — I’d do anything to help them.

Ohel Sarala is a Bonei Olam program that pairs those of us in shidduchim with couples facing infertility challenges. Although I only know my couple by their Tehillim names, davening for them each day — knowing they’re doing the same for me — means they’re never far from my thoughts.

Over the past month, I joined thousands of Ohel Sarala members in saying Nishmas for 40 consecutive days. And while I continue to daven for my couple every day, I wanted to take it one step further and do something tangible for them as well.

For the next two weeks, I’m raising $1800 to help cover their fertility treatments — bringing them one step closer to the family they’ve been waiting and davening for.
